The "help me - I don't know what is going on" Beginners' Guide!
Download Metamask: Metamask is a Chrome extension that runs in the background while you browse. It's called an online wallet, and much like a regular wallet, it stores money. In this case, Ethereum - the cryptocurrency used to play Amber Game.
Create a Metamask Account: This one's a no-brainer (Make sure to securely save your seed phrase, tho). Metamask will walk you through the process, and it shouldn't be long before you have your Ethereum wallet address and access to all of your funds.
To switch to the correct network, open up your Metamask extension, and click on the drop-down menu labelled Main Ethereum Network, and click.
Let's Play!: All you have to do now is go to www.Amber-Game.com and claim ownership of a gem (by clicking on it) with your newfound wealth! With a bit of luck, the dividends will start to roll in, and perhaps somebody will buy your gem from you, resulting in a big payout to your funds on the Amber site.
Profit: When you want to withdraw your dividends and profits from Amber, just click on the profits (yellow number) at the top of the site. Once you've withdrawn, the money will go straight to your Metamask wallet.
A note on gas:
When making an Ethereum transaction, the amount of gas used determines how quickly your transaction will be processed. The more gas used, the faster it will happen.
However, using more gas will cost you more Ethereum. For a breakdown of gas amounts relative to cost and speed, look at the Ethereum Gas Station.
The "help me - I need a step-by-step guide for playing the game" Beginners' Guide!
Access Amber page with MetaMask installed and logged in.
Scroll down (or use the quick links) to the cave area where the chain of gems is loaded.
Choose a gem based on your resources and strategy.
Clicking on the gem opens up a MetaMask window. Choose the gas you are willing to pay for the transaction.
Confirm the transaction and wait for it to be processed on the blockchain.
After the transaction is settled, the gem's background turns yellow - it is now ignited.
You can see the amount of gems you own and the dividends they have gained written in yellow numbers in the game bar on the top of your screen alongside other statistics.
